Throughout my career, I’ve developed the ability to distinguish between lackluster windows and that worthy of installation. I want to assure you that this is a subject I approach with the best intentions. Through this vlog, I hope to highlight key considerations when shopping for new replacement vinyl windows. The last thing we want is for you to invest in a set of low-quality and less-than-ideal-looking windows.

Mi Windows:

Mi Windows have been in the market for quite some time. While we don’t typically deal with Mi Windows at American Window Concepts, I’ve had some experience with them. My wife’s parents built a house that used Mi Windows. After they were installed, I had the opportunity to closely examine them. Upon inspection, I couldn’t help but notice how bulky and gaudy the frames were. Additionally, they weren’t as easy to operate as other window brands. In fact, online reviews corroborate my observations.

Alpine Windows:

On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have Alpine Windows. They feature lackluster and unappealing thin frames that do little to enhance the appearance of the windows. The frames themselves appear cheaply constructed, and this is evident at a glance. Due to their build, they are less sturdy than other window options available. Unsurprisingly, they also receive poor online reviews.

Jeld Wen Windows:

Jeld Wen Windows is a well-known window brand. While many people seem to favor them, I must admit that I don’t share the same sentiment. Their components, locks, and block-and-tackle style fail to impress me. Compared to other window brands, they seem somewhat unreliable and unstable. Despite being affordable and easy to work with, they lack the aesthetic appeal and features that would make them a worthwhile investment in my view.

I want to emphasize that, having worked with windows for over 23 years, I understand that different types of windows serve different needs in this world. Some are more ideal than others for specific purposes. If you happen to have any of the windows mentioned above, please don’t feel discouraged; these are simply my personal opinions. With my extensive experience in the window industry, I aim to guide people toward the best options available.
