Maintenance

Vinyl windows do not require a lot of maintenance and upkeep. To maintain your vinyl windows, it is recommended to clean the windows with mild soap and water about once a year.

Wood windows will need more maintenance. Since wood windows are a natural material, they are more likely to warp and crack causing gaps in the seals. The frames would need to be repaint or resealed every couple of years to protect from the elements. Wood windows are also more susceptible to rot and termites.
